Kirsten Fisher, M.D.

Dr. Fisher was born in Daytona, Florida, and grew up on Army bases in Georgia, New York, California, New Jersey and Germany before graduating from high school in Miami. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University and her Doctorate of Medicine from Chicago Medical School. Dr. Fisher completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. She lives in Tampa and has worked as a staff physician at The James A. Haley VAMC Spinal Cord Injury Center since 2007. She is a member of the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the National Wellness Institute, as well as the Hillsborough County Disability Alliance. Dr. Fisher has a son who is a lifelong Spiderman fan, a gifted artist and avid cook who graduated from Focus Academy and is currently in his second year in the Focus Academy Transition Program. Two sons are also attending Steinbrenner High School.
