Our Teachers
Think of the best teacher you had during your school days. Then imagine a school full of these best teachers who are eager to help students succeed, using creative and innovative methods to make learning fun and interesting. Focus Academy teachers meet and exceed those expectations.
Our teachers are certified by the State of Florida in Exceptional Student Education, and our Intensive Reading teacher is Reading Endorsed. Educational Assistants are in classrooms, helping students and aiding teachers in daily lessons. A low student to staff ratio ensures that every student has the personal attention they need. A three person mental health team is available for student support. Every staff member participates in periodic trainings beyond what is required to better serve students and families.

From Our Principal
Welcome to Focus Academy. It is a privilege and honor to lead this special community of students, staff, and families.
Focus Academy is more than a school; it is a special place where relationships are cultivated and nourished, skills are developed and encouraged, and goals are set and achieved. Our amazing staff guide and inspire our students through their creativity, dedication, and compassion. Many of our students stay at Focus Academy for nearly 10 years, and we are honored (and awed) as they progress through our programs.
As one of the original staff at Focus Academy, I have seen many changes throughout the years. However, one thing has remained the same: our dedication to changing the lives of our students by providing them with the tools for both academic and social success.
